The Annual KTS 5k & Family Fun Run has been a highlight for those of us who attend. Unfortunately, like every other large event this year, the run will be virtual. We will run or walk “together” from miles apart in Kellie’s name Sunday, September 27th. Thanks for those that participated.
As a community, we have done an amazing job in the last 8 years to keep her hardworking, competitive and funny spirit alive for her kids, family, friends, and athletes everywhere. We have been able to raise money to split between the Shiley kid’s educational trust and a scholarship for female athletes who exhibit Kellie’s qualities of leadership and excellence both on and off the field. Our very first Kellie Scholarship recipient graduated from St. Mary’s High School (Annapolis) this year and is already off to play lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy. The second scholarship recipient has just committed to play lacrosse at Georgetown! Our efforts are truly making a difference!
